Cleaning Up a Phone Repair Shop’s Google Profile for Long-Term Growth

The Starting Point

A Strong Review Profile With Hidden Risks

JPR Phone Repair had something many businesses struggle to build — a healthy collection of positive reviews from real customers. But beneath the surface, the Google Business Profile had problems. The service list had been built with geographic keywords stuffed into service names — the kind of practice that Google’s April 2026 policy enforcement update started penalizing aggressively. Left unchecked, this could have led to a profile suspension, wiping out all the trust those reviews had built.

What We Did

Service Catalog Cleanup — 65 Services to ~35

We audited all 65 services and found widespread geo-stuffing — city names, county names, and location keywords crammed into service names that should have been clean descriptions of what the business does. We removed every instance, consolidated duplicates, and cleaned the catalog down to approximately 35 properly named services. Each one now describes a real, distinct service: screen repair, battery replacement, water damage restoration, data recovery, and other phone and device repair specialties.

4+ Star Reviews Exported

We exported all reviews rated 4 stars and above into a structured spreadsheet (XLSX format) for the client to use in marketing materials, social proof on their website, and internal quality tracking. Having your best reviews organized and accessible makes it easy to showcase customer satisfaction across every marketing channel.

By the Numbers

Services: 65 → ~35 (geo-stuffing removed, duplicates consolidated)
Reviews Exported: All 4+ star reviews organized into spreadsheet
Risk Mitigated: Geo-stuffing violations cleaned before Google enforcement action
